Abstract

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a container (2) from a blank (3) made of plastic material, inside a mould (1) provided with a wall (4) defining a cavity (5) with the impression of the container (2), and a mould bottom (8) which is movable relative to the wall between a retracted position in which the mould bottom is set back from the cavity (5), and an extended position in which the mould bottom projects towards the inside of the cavity (5) such as to form a hollow recess in the container (2), which includes: an operation of inserting the blank (3) in the mould; a pre-blowing operation which consists of injecting a fluid pressurised at a so-called pre-blowing pressure into the blank (3); a blowing operation, following the pre-blowing operation, which consists of injecting a fluid pressurised at a so-called blowing pressure which is higher than the pre-blowing pressure into the blank (3); and a boxing operation, initiated before the blowing operation, and which consists of moving the movable mould bottom (8) from the retracted position thereof to the extended position thereof.
