Abstract

本发明公开了一种具有灭火功能的电池冷却系统,用于对混合动力车辆或电动车辆中的动力电池进行冷却。该电池冷却系统包括:冷却介质,其选择成能够用于冷却动力电池且能够用作灭火剂;传输冷却介质的冷却回路;连接在冷却回路中且邻近或接触动力电池的吸热元件,用于吸收动力电池的热量并将其传递至冷却介质;设置在冷却回路中的释放机构,选择性地打开冷却回路,以将其中的冷却介质释放至动力电池所在的空间。按照本发明的电池冷却系统采用既能用作冷却剂还能用作灭火剂的冷却介质。这样,当因异常原因造成动力电池着火燃烧时,冷却介质能释放到动力电池所在的空间进行灭火,给乘员预留了更多逃生时间,提高了车辆的安全性。
The invention discloses a battery cooling system having an extinguishing function, which is used for cooling a power battery in a hybrid electric vehicle or an electric vehicle. The battery cooling system comprises a cooling medium which can be selected to be used for cooling the power battery and used as extinguishing agent; a cooling loop for transmitting the cooling medium; a heat absorbing element which is connected in the cooling loop, is close to or in contact with the power battery and is used for absorbing heat of the power battery and transferring the heat to the cooling medium; and a releasing mechanism which is arranged in the cooling loop and can selectively open the cooling loop to release the cooling medium therein into space where the power battery is located. The battery cooling system according to the invention adopts the cooling medium which can be used as both the cooling agent and the extinguishing agent. Thus, when the power battery catches fire and burns due to abnormal causes, the cooling medium can be released into the space where the power battery is located to perform extinguishment, so that passengers are given more time to escape, and the safety of the vehicle is improved.
